DoBrain Inc (DoBrain), a startup bringing child cognitive treatment to your palm, announced today it has been invested from Springcamp, a Naver affiliate venture capital.
Choi Ye Jin, CEO and founder of DoBrain, during her studies at Seoul National University, helped children from low income families and children who have escaped from North Korea, by developing cognitive development program with Korea Institute of Creativity, Gifted Education. Upon belief that she could reach out to more children and help their cognitive development she found Dobrain.
Dobrain provides cognitive diagnosis and developmental programs through the Dobrain mobile application (DMA). After the soft launching in 2017, DMA ranked first place in App store children’s app, and third place in the Google store Educational app categories. Over 120,000 users have used, and 30,000 monthly active users use DMA. According to in-house test, children who have constantly used DMA for a year have shown an average of 18% increase in their intelligence quotient.
DoBrain won the grand prize from the “Urban Innovation Challenge: Citypreneurs 2017”, a competition hosted by the World Federation of United Nations Associations. DoBrain attracted investment from the TIPS program (Tech Incubator Program for startup Korea). These results indicate that Korean government have acknowledged the technical competency of DoBrain.
Dobrain has signed MOU with YONSEI SEVERANCE Health-IT Acceleration Platform Technology Innovation Center, proceeding follow-up clinical protocol in pursue of FDA listing as a Mobile Medical Device.
